Community Investment
As a local bank, we understand the importance of being a good neighbor. That’s why we’re dedicated to giving back to the families and businesses that make up our communities. We believe our particular focus on investing in education, wellness, and workforce development will help ensure a bright and sustainable future for all of us in Middle and East Tennessee.

Bright Minds, Locally Grown
We invest in the up-and-coming leaders of our communities by fostering foundational skills and opening doors to opportunity. Over the past decade, our donations have added up to more than $25 million to support primary, secondary, and post-secondary education in Middle and East Tennessee through key programs:
Our investment in education also extends to local organizations that provide resources and support for the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students and their families.
Bolstering Community Builders
SouthEast Bank believes that education and economic mobility go hand-in-hand, which is why we balance our local investment with additional support to nonprofits and organizations that serve low and moderate-income communities (LMI) with affordable housing development, homeowner education, and overall financial literacy. Our giving also supports job training, networking events, and other professional development opportunities for new residents and rising entrepreneurs among LMI communities. With these resources, more Tennesseans will access safe and sustainable housing, retain and create jobs, and begin building generational wealth.
What Our Community Partners Are Saying:
“When parents have the supplies they need to care for their families, it gives them the freedom to focus on their children, build their careers, and so much more. Helping Mamas aims to create those opportunities, and when organizations like SouthEast Bank rally behind our efforts, it makes an incredible impact.”
Tess Frear, Executive Director of Helping Mamas
“Through SouthEast Bank’s gifts of time, talent, and treasures, we are able to feed our neighbors and inspire hope again.”
Elaine Streno, Executive Director of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee
“SouthEast Bank’s contribution will underwrite projects that strengthen classroom instruction, eliminate barriers to academic success, and support students in their transition to post-secondary educational and employment opportunities.”
Mike Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of the Knox Education Foundation
